I generally have no problem at all with emancipation, more power to it! However, I do when it comes to flying. I fly quite a bit and unfortunately the days that flight attendants were stewardesses are long gone. Unless you fly Singapore Airlines, chances that your food and drinks will be served by attractive ladies with sexy smiles wearing short skirts and high heels are very slim. Last week I was shocked though….

I never pay attention to the ‘fasten your seatbelt’ and ‘life vest’ explanation (who does? Except for Singapore Airlines of course)but on my Virgin Atlantic flight to San Francisco I couldn’t help but stare at the flight attendant. Why? Was she that hot? No, not at all! She was a he and must have been at least 65 years old. On top of that it looked like he had lost over 200 pounds recently but hadn’t gotten to the point of liposuction yet. When he raised his arms to show how to fasten your seat belt, his skin was still on his waist. Come on Virgin! Really, I was in SHOCK!

Now, how surprised was I to learn that Virgin Atlantic appeared on the first place of Gadling’s Ten of the sexiest commercials in airline history. The commercial surely looks good, and sexy, but that’s like having the hot girl talk you into Hooters and then getting served by a fat old lady without teeth. Here is the video:
